Study Abroad

If you study abroad during the academic year, you will be billed the standard full-time Georgetown tuition. The Office of Global Education determines each study abroad program’s unique cost of attendance, factoring in airfare, housing, meals, passport/visa fees, insurance and other personal expenses.

With the exception of Federal Work-Study, you will maintain your eligibility for need-based financial aid when you enroll in a Georgetown study abroad program. Your financial aid may be adjusted based on the cost of your program.

Financial aid for summer study abroad programs is limited. If you have remaining federal loan eligibility you may apply those funds towards your summer study abroad costs.
