Resident Assistant Benefits

You will be compensated with full room costs as well as a credit to be applied to the meal plan of your choice if you become a Resident Assistant (RA). Federal law and university policy require that the value of RA benefits be considered when determining your financial aid eligibility. The amount of your RA benefits will be used to first reduce/replace your student loans and/or your Federal Work-Study award, then decrease your GU expected family contribution, if federal financial aid regulations permit, before any adjustment is made to your Georgetown Scholarship.

If you have questions about how being an RA will impact your financial aid award, please contact our office.
