Throughout the year our office receives information about outside scholarship opportunities. You can view these outside opportunities below. We update this page with new scholarships on a regular basis so be sure to check back or sign up for our listserv to receive emails about these scholarship opportunities. To be updated as new scholarships are added, subscribe to our listserv by sending an email to from your Georgetown address to listproc@georgetown.edu. Leave the subject line blank, and in the body of the text, write: “subscribe SCHOLARSHIP-L your first name your last name”. You will receive a subscription confirmation email, to which you must respond to confirm your participation in the listserv.

Future Leaders in Technology Scholarship

Amount: $2,500 + internship with Virtasant or $1,000
Eligibility: High School Senior, College or University student
pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science
Minimum GPA: N/A
Requirement: A member of an underrepresented group
(i.e. African American, Hispanic, Native American, LGBTQA+, Women)
Essay: 500-word essay in response to the following question:
What area of tech are you interested in studying and why? Tell us about a problem that you hope to solve by way of your future education and career in tech.
Deadline: Before January 1st and June 30th of every year

College Drive Scholarship

Amount: $1,500
Eligibility: high school graduate or senior, college student
Minimum GPA: N/A
Requirement: Explaining a moral dilemma that you have faced in life and how you handled it
Submission type: Submission of essay (500 words or less), video/audio (4 minutes or less), meme, poster, graphic design, social media post
Deadline: March 2, 2022

Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance 

Amount: $ 1,500
Eligibility: Have completed their Sophomore year of college or wanting to complete Master’s Degree
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Requirement: Majoring in accounting or finance
Questionnaire: Candidates will be reviewed on leadership, character, communication skills, scholastic average and financial need.
Deadline: April 15, 2022

MoneyKey

Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Full-time student at a post-secondary institution (accredited college, university or trade school) in the U.S.
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Requirement: 18+ U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Essay: 500-750 words answering the following prompt:
What does financial responsibility mean to you and what steps should students take to plan their budget?
Deadline: March 31, 2022 & September 30, 2022

LA Tutors 123

Amount: $500
Eligibility: College or high school student with a minimum 3.0 GPA/ Must be a U.S  or Canada citizen, permanent resident or valid student visa. Must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others (website. Blogs, apps, fundraising events, etc.)
Minimum GPA: N/A
Requirement: Describe the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation.
Deadline: 20th of each month

Serped Scholarship Contest

Amount: $500
Eligibility: high school or college student
Minimum GPA: n/a
Requirement: video
Video: maximum 5 minute video on what excites you most about the world of digital marketing, an idea that you have that stands out in the crowd and what you have done to implement this idea in the world of digital marketing
Deadline: 30th of every month

OppU Achievers Scholarship

Amount: $2,500
Eligibility: high school student, undergraduate or graduate, US citizen
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Requirement: essay, application form
Essay: maximum 750 word essay on why financial literacy should be important to college students like yourself
Deadline: annually on September 30, December 31, March 31, June 30

Price It Here, Inc. Scholarship Program

Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: full time undergraduate in business, business management, advertising, sales, marketing or related fields
Minimum GPA: 3.5
Requirement: essay

ExtremeTerrain’s Student Scholarship Program

Amount: $3,000
Eligibility: college student in environmental studies, environmental research, land us, earth and atmosphere studies, sustainable land management, parks and recreation, or sustainable agriculture systems

Requirement: essay
Essay: 700-1,500 word essay on who you are, why you feel like it is important to maintain access to public lands for recreational use and how you plan to use your degree to advocate for the recreational use of public lands

The Keith M. Fletcher Excellence in Ethic Scholarship

Amount: $1,000 (first place) and $500 (second place)
Eligibility: US permanent resident or citizen
Must be enrolled in or accepted to a US law school

Washington, D.C. Scholarship

MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship

Amount: $5,000
Eligibility: International and DACA Students
Minimum GPA: N/A
Requirement: The student must have been accepted or enrolled at a full-time program at a U.S. or Canadian school that is an MOWER Partner College or University. Must be an international student on F1 visa status, Green Card holder (permanent resident), or a DACA recipient, a Canadian permanent resident or Canadian study permit holder. Must be 18 years or older.
Deadline: July 15 and annually. Applications from one period do not rollover to the next. See Scholarship guidelines on the link provided.
