Eligibility for a subsidized Federal Stafford Loan is determined by the information provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and verified by GU's Office of Student Financial Services. This student loan is neither based on credit nor is a co-signer required.

Eligibility for an unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loan is not based on need; however, the student must fulfill specific requirements which include:

• Processed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program at least half-time
• U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
• A valid social security number
• Continued satisfactory academic progress
