Master Promissory Note

The Federal Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) is an agreement between the lending institution and the borrower.  It is a multi-year note, which often allows the student to complete only one MPN for the duration of his or her enrollment. Subsequent academic years will only require the student to accept, reduce, or reject their Federal Stafford Loan each year.

Application Deadlines

• The student must be eligible and enrolled at least halftime for the academic year or applicable semester for a Federal Stafford Loan to be disbursed.
• The application should be submitted or received by mail no later than fifteen days before the end of classes for the academic year or applicable semester.
