Georgetown University GU & NHS Scholarships

Georgetown's GU & NHS Scholarship programs provide need-based awards to eligible undergraduates to meet 100% of their demonstrated financial need for scholarship (grant) assistance.

A portion of the scholarship assistance Georgetown awards to eligible undergraduates is funded by the generous gifts of University benefactors.  Without this support from alumni and friends of the University, Georgetown would not be able to continue to meet the full financial need of all our aid applicants.  Named GU & NHS Scholarship awards are given to students who are eligible for Georgetown scholarship assistance who meet the additional  selection preferences specified by the donors.

Students can apply for GU & NHS Scholarships, including those named by donors to our programs, by completing the standard applications for need-based financial aid at Georgetown. All of these awards are made on the basis of demonstrated financial need for Georgetown scholarship aid.

Georgetown Incentive Scholarships

Georgetown's Incentive Scholarship awards are designed to assist in the recruitment and retention of talented undergraduates. Often these awards are made to students who are pursuing certain academic or extra-curricular interests.

Georgetown Incentive Scholarship awards typically reduce the "self-help" GU expected family contribution and/or the student loan or work components of a standard need-based Georgetown financial aid package.

For most of the incentive scholarship programs described on this site, qualified students may apply by completing the standard applications for need-based financial aid at Georgetown and/or by following the supplemental application/selection procedures indicated.
