- SUBMIT the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible.
- UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: submit the
CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE to apply for Georgetown undergraduate scholarship assistance.
GRADUATE STUDENTS: submit the GU Graduate Supplement
Form and check with your program for information and applications (if necessary) for
merit-based scholarships, assistantships, and fellowships.
- SUBMIT copies of your (and your parents if undergraduate; spouse if married) federal income tax returns and W-2 forms. If requested by your Student Financial Services Counselor, submit a Business/Farm Supplement, Non-custodial Parent Statement, or other requested documentation to support your aid application.
- REVIEW the Student Aid Report (SAR) for accuracy once you receive it. If you need to make changes, submit the corrections to
the federal processor following the instructions on the SAR. The corrected information will be forwarded to any institution or agency
to which you originally released your FAFSA information.
- RESPOND promptly to any request for verification of information previously reported.
- READ the information enclosed with your Financial Aid Notice for details about how to receive the
funds you have been awarded.
- If required, SIGN and RETURN the Reply Copy of the Financial Aid Notice to the Office of Student Financial Services.
- NOTIFY the Office of Student Financial Services if you receive any funding from other sources.
- COMPLETE and SUBMIT a loan application if you want to borrow from the Federal Stafford, Federal PLUS, or a private loan program.
- SEEK both on-campus and off-campus jobs on the web via
the SEO website.
