About Our Office

GU's Law and Medical Schools have their own financial aid offices. Visit their websites for information regarding their financial aid programs:

The Office of Student Financial Services provides counseling services to prospective and current students and their families about:

  • options available for financing higher education costs
  • eligibility for assistance
  • applying for and obtaining funding
  • budgeting expenses and paying bills

For both undergraduate and graduate students, the Office of Student Financial Services determines eligibility for assistance from federal, state, and private financial aid programs based on the rules and regulations established by those external agencies. In addition, we determine eligibility for Georgetown scholarships to undergraduates, and assist in the selection of graduate students who receive University fellowships and scholarships.

The Office of Student Financial Services delivers federal, state, private, and institutional funds to eligible recipients. These funds include loan, employment, grant, and scholarship assistance from both public and private sources. There are over 125 student financial assistance programs managed by or coordinated through the Office of Student Financial Services.
